Get to know the car before you buy it.

Guides to specific models and vehicle types, written so a first-time buyer knows what the car is good for, what to look into and what to ask us to check. Guides are published only once they are approved, so this index grows over time.

Guides in preparation

No guides are published yet

We publish a guide only when it has been written for Rindo customers and approved, rather than rewriting what is already online. Until the first guides are ready, the same questions are answered car by car: tell us what you are considering and we will say what to look for before you look.

What every guide will cover

Each guide follows the same three parts, so you can compare cars on the same terms.

1. The car

Suitable uses and specifications

What the model or type is good for, the main variants and specifications you will meet in Japanese listings, and what to understand before you compare two examples.

2. The risks

Typical concerns to investigate

The points worth investigating on that model or type, where the auction sheet helps and where it does not, and when a further check or inspection is worth asking for.

3. The conversation

Questions for Rindo

The questions to put to us before you set a maximum bid or approve a purchase, so our review covers what matters for that particular car.
